Kainchi Dham
Primary Ashramโญ Must Visit

๐Ÿ”๏ธ Kainchi Dham, Uttarakhand

The most important and famous ashram of Maharajji, nestled in a Himalayan valley near Bhowali in Nainital district. Founded on June 15, 1964, this ashram is named after the "kainchi" (scissor) shape formed by two mountain streams meeting at this spot. The energy here is palpably divine โ€” peaceful, loving, and transformative. The main Hanuman temple is considered supremely powerful.

The annual June 15 Bhandara (community feast) draws 50,000โ€“100,000 pilgrims. Steve Jobs visited here in 1974; Mark Zuckerberg in 2015. The ashram runs a free langar (community kitchen) serving thousands daily.
